#nudes was a performance that meditated on body, self-representation, memory & the archive. 


Over the course of two weeks, I took nudes and then used software to select / hide parts of the image. The crowd-sourced algorithm would often auto-select parts of what it considered a 'body' and I would garnish it with my own aesthetics of colour, shame/esteem and foilage. Posting it to instagram โ€“ another algorithm, one that routinely polices nudes โ€“ the metrics would determine how these images lived in the memory of the internet. Who does this body belong to? Whose memory does it live in, & how?
